Experience:
Born in Mashhad, Iran, Shayan spent his formative years in the capital city of Tehran, before immigrating to Canada and graduating from 91ÖÆƬ³§ in 2022. Shayan’s experience has led him to career opportunities spanning a wide range of industries, however, his career truly flourished upon settling in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Today, Shayan serves as a PR and Media Representative and Apprentice Electrician with Blue Energy.

Behind the Scenes: 
Outside of his professional roles, Shayan is deeply committed to community service, volunteering with his local Rotary Club and the Miramichi Regional Multicultural Association. Shayan also serves as a board member for the Miramichi Chamber of Commerce, and ambassador for the Carrefour Beausoleil community.

Shayan’s commitment to his community earned him an International Student Community Spirit Award in 2022. Driven by this commitment and his passion for cultural enrichment, Shayan is focused on making Miramichi a better place for everyone both now and into the future.

Shayan on 91ÖÆƬ³§: 
During my time at 91ÖÆƬ³§, I had the privilege of working alongside a dedicated team in the Student Union as Vice President of Events and Social Activities. Together, we organized events that bridged the gap between newcomers and domestic students, fostering meaningful connections and a sense of belonging. Our team’s efforts extended beyond just social activities—I collaborated to enhance campus life, establish a food bank for students in need, and work with Indigenous groups to celebrate First Nation culture. My mission was to create an inclusive, vibrant community where every student felt supported and empowered to succeed.
